Russia’s Trade with the Czech Republic

In 2012, Russia’s trade with the Czech Republic totaled $10,279,615,332, up 3.29% ($327,287,769) from 2011.

Russia’s exports to the Czech Republic in 2012 were $4,925,440,885, down 9.60% ($523,242,036) from 2011.

Russia’s imports from the Czech Republic in 2012 totaled $5,354,174,447, up 18.89% ($850,529,805) from 2011.

Russia’s trade balance with the Czech Republic went from a surplus of $945,038,279 in 2011, to a deficit of $428,733,562 in 2012.

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 20th largest trading partner in 2012 (up from 21st in 2011), accounting for 1.2209% of Russia’s total trade (up from 1.2100% in 2011).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 26th largest export market in 2012 (down from 24th in 2011), accounting for 0.9387% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.0545% in 2011).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 15th largest supplier in 2012 (up from 16th in 2011), accounting for 1.6876% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.4729% in 2011).

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.51% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (6.39% in 2011);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.26% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (5.03% in 2011);

Russia’s Imports from the Czech Republic

The major share of Russian imports from the Czech Republic in 2012 (and in 2011) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 73.23% of Russia’s total imports from the Czech Republic (69.49% in 2011);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 10.21% of Russia’s total imports from the Czech Republic (11.87% in 2011);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.53% of Russia’s total imports from the Czech Republic (5.77% in 2011);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 2.34% of Russia’s total imports from the Czech Republic (2.64% in 2011);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 1.91% of Russia’s total imports from the Czech Republic (2.64% in 2011);
