Russia’s Trade with Azerbaijan

In 2013, Russia’s trade with Azerbaijan totaled $3,578,401,120, up 4.96% ($169,179,401) from 2012.

Russia’s exports to Azerbaijan in 2013 totaled $2,942,532,179, up 3.40% ($96,841,511) from 2012.

Russia’s imports from Azerbaijan in 2013 totaled $635,868,941, up 12.84% ($72,337,890) from 2012.

Russia’s trade surplus with Azerbaijan in 2013 was $2,306,663,238, a 1.07% increase ($24,503,621) over 2012.

Azerbaijan was Russia’s 36th largest trading partner in 2013 (up from 37th in 2012), accounting for 0.4249% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.4049% in 2012).

Azerbaijan was Russia’s 31st largest export market in 2013 (just as in 2012), accounting for 0.5581% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.5423% in 2012).

Azerbaijan was Russia’s 53rd largest supplier in 2013 (down from 52nd in 2012), accounting for 0.2019% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1776% in 2012).

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 20.83% of Russia’s total exports to Azerbaijan (16.20% in 2012);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Azerbaijan in 2013 over 2012 were recorded for the following product groups:
