In 2013, Russia’s trade with Hungary was $9,359,439,155, down 4.85% ($476,712,491) from 2012.

Russia’s exports to Hungary in 2013 were $6,352,307,884, down 5.65% ($380,512,167) from 2012.

Russia’s imports from Hungary in 2013 were $3,007,131,271, down 3.10% ($96,200,324) from 2012.

Russia’s trade surplus with Hungary in 2013 was $3,345,176,613, a 7.83% decrease ($284,311,843) over 2012.

Hungary was Russia’s 23rd largest trading partner in 2013 (just as in 2012), accounting for 1.1113% of Russia’s total trade (down from 1.1682% in 2012).

Hungary was Russia’s 20th largest export market in 2013 (just as in 2012), accounting for 1.2048% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.2831% in 2012).

Hungary was Russia’s 24th largest supplier in 2013 (down from 23rd in 2012), accounting for 0.9547% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.9782% in 2012).

Russia’s Exports to Hungary

The major share of Russian exports to Hungary in 2013 (and in 2012) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 88.08% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (88.33% in 2012);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 8.25% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (7.42% in 2012);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 2.17% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (2.18% in 2012);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 1.01% of Russia’s total exports to Hungary (1.23% in 2012).

Russia’s Imports from Hungary

The major share of Russian imports from Hungary in 2013 (and in 2012) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 45.00% of Russia’s total imports from Hungary (50.74% in 2012);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 30.98% of Russia’s total imports from Hungary (28.62% in 2012);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 12.29% of Russia’s total imports from Hungary (9.95% in 2012);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 2.25% of Russia’s total imports from Hungary (1.93% in 2012);
