In 2013, Russia’s trade with Ireland totaled $1,701,072,271, up 3.18% ($52,396,742) from 2012.

Russia’s exports to Ireland in 2013 totaled $328,808,540, up 16.19% ($45,808,380) from 2012.

Russia’s imports from Ireland in 2013 totaled $1,372,263,731, up 0.48% ($6,588,362) from 2012.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ireland in 2013 was $1,043,455,191, a 3.62% decrease ($39,220,018) over 2012.

Ireland was Russia’s 56th largest trading partner in 2013 (down from 55th in 2012), accounting for 0.2020% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1958% in 2012).

Ireland was Russia’s 78th largest export market in 2013 (down from 77th in 2012), accounting for 0.0624% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0539% in 2012).

Ireland was Russia’s 37th largest supplier in 2013 (down from 36th in 2012), accounting for 0.4357% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4305% in 2012).

Russia’s Exports to Ireland

The major share of Russian exports to Ireland in 2013 (and in 2012) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 50.05% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (0.00% in 2012);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 28.32% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (22.31% in 2012);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 4.31% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (4.18% in 2012);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 2.97% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (3.81% in 2012).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Ireland in 2013 over 2012 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $2,687,500;
  • Optical, photographic, cinematographic, measuring, checking, precision, medical or surgical instruments and apparatus; parts and accessories thereof (HS code 90) - a decrease of $2,178,328.
