Russia’s Trade with Slovenia

In 2013, Russia’s trade with Slovenia totaled $1,660,618,366, up 6.23% ($97,346,174) from 2012.

Russia’s exports to Slovenia in 2013 were $233,211,749, down 25.63% ($80,373,375) from 2012.

Russia’s imports from Slovenia in 2013 totaled $1,427,406,617, up 14.22% ($177,719,549) from 2012.

Russia’s trade deficit with Slovenia in 2013 was $1,194,194,868, a 27.57% increase ($258,092,924) over 2012.

Slovenia was Russia’s 57th largest trading partner in 2013 (up from 59th in 2012), accounting for 0.1972% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1857% in 2012).

Slovenia was Russia’s 83rd largest export market in 2013 (down from 73rd in 2012), accounting for 0.0442% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0598% in 2012).

Slovenia was Russia’s 35th largest supplier in 2013 (up from 40th in 2012), accounting for 0.4532% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.3939% in 2012).

Russia’s Exports to Slovenia

The major share of Russian exports to Slovenia in 2013 (and in 2012) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 62.48% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (70.20% in 2012);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 25.88% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (20.75% in 2012);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 4.39% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (2.57% in 2012);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 3.49% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (3.36% in 2012);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 2.31% of Russia’s total exports to Slovenia (1.63% in 2012);

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - an increase of $1,238,311;
  • Copper and articles thereof (HS code 74) - an increase of $853,609;
  • Tools, implements, cutlery, spoons and forks, of base metal; parts thereof of base metal (HS code 82) - an increase of $801,743;
