Russia’s Trade with Turkey

In 2013, Russia’s trade with Turkey was $32,748,885,443, down 4.46% ($1,530,006,537) from 2012.

Russia’s exports to Turkey in 2013 were $25,476,111,928, down 7.09% ($1,942,630,870) from 2012.

Russia’s imports from Turkey in 2013 totaled $7,272,773,515, up 6.01% ($412,624,333) from 2012.

Russia’s trade surplus with Turkey in 2013 was $18,203,338,413, a 11.46% decrease ($2,355,255,203) over 2012.

Turkey was Russia’s 8th largest trading partner in 2013 (down from 7th in 2012), accounting for 3.8883% of Russia’s total trade (down from 4.0711% in 2012).

Turkey was Russia’s 5th largest export market in 2013 (just as in 2012), accounting for 4.8317% of Russia’s total exports (down from 5.2253% in 2012).

Turkey was Russia’s 12th largest supplier in 2013 (up from 13th in 2012), accounting for 2.3091% of Russia’s total imports (up from 2.1623% in 2012).

Russia’s Exports to Turkey

The major share of Russian exports to Turkey in 2013 (and in 2012) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 70.81% of Russia’s total exports to Turkey (74.44% in 2012);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 15.21% of Russia’s total exports to Turkey (12.89% in 2012);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 6.76% of Russia’s total exports to Turkey (7.07% in 2012);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 5.41% of Russia’s total exports to Turkey (4.27% in 2012);
