In 2014, Russia’s trade with Colombia was $375,051,456, down 0.51% ($1,928,712) from 2013.

Russia’s exports to Colombia in 2014 totaled $234,875,412, up 2.11% ($4,858,629) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Colombia in 2014 were $140,176,044, down 4.62% ($6,787,341) from 2013.

Russia’s trade surplus with Colombia in 2014 was $94,699,368, a 14.02% increase ($11,645,970) over 2013.

Colombia was Russia’s 89th largest trading partner in 2014 (down from 88th in 2013), accounting for 0.0479% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0448% in 2013).

Colombia was Russia’s 83rd largest export market in 2014 (up from 84th in 2013), accounting for 0.0473% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0436% in 2013).

Colombia was Russia’s 78th largest supplier in 2014 (down from 76th in 2013), accounting for 0.0490% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0467% in 2013).

Russia’s Exports to Colombia

The major share of Russian exports to Colombia in 2014 (and in 2013) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 41.83% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (49.54% in 2013);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 25.31% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (14.77% in 2013);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 20.44% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (18.65% in 2013);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 3.49% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (12.82% in 2013).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Colombia in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - an increase of $17,058,431;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - an increase of $10,835,032;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $4,896,969;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - an increase of $3,109,100.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Colombia in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $20,933,690;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $16,946,343;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - a decrease of $2,379,736;
  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $1,664,540;
  • Optical, photographic, cinematographic, measuring, checking, precision, medical or surgical instruments and apparatus; parts and accessories thereof (HS code 90) - a decrease of $1,162,507;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $755,264.

Russia’s Imports from Colombia

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 7.55% of Russia’s total imports from Colombia (6.17% in 2013);
