Russia’s exports to Costa Rica in 2014 totaled $126,790,554, up 151.91% ($76,458,337) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Costa Rica in 2014 totaled $162,491,472, up 28.10% ($35,645,964) from 2013.

Russia’s trade deficit with Costa Rica in 2014 was $35,700,918, a 53.34% decrease ($40,812,373) over 2013.

Russia’s Imports from Costa Rica

The major share of Russian imports from Costa Rica in 2014 (and in 2013) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 57.23% of Russia’s total imports from Costa Rica (40.21% in 2013);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 41.09% of Russia’s total imports from Costa Rica (57.84% in 2013);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 0.96% of Russia’s total imports from Costa Rica (1.38% in 2013).

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Costa Rica in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:
