In 2014, Russia’s trade with Croatia totaled $1,945,243,834, up 12.36% ($214,025,034) from 2013.

Russia’s exports to Croatia in 2014 totaled $1,523,149,220, up 13.78% ($184,452,247) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Croatia in 2014 totaled $422,094,614, up 7.53% ($29,572,787) from 2013.

Russia’s trade surplus with Croatia in 2014 was $1,101,054,606, a 16.37% increase ($154,879,460) over 2013.

Croatia was Russia’s 49th largest trading partner in 2014 (up from 55th in 2013), accounting for 0.2485% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2056% in 2013).

Croatia was Russia’s 42nd largest export market in 2014 (up from 48th in 2013), accounting for 0.3065% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2539% in 2013).

Croatia was Russia’s 58th largest supplier in 2014 (up from 64th in 2013), accounting for 0.1476% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1246% in 2013).

Russia’s Exports to Croatia

The major share of Russian exports to Croatia in 2014 (and in 2013) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 95.46% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (93.25% in 2013);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 1.43% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (3.81% in 2013);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.23% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (1.23% in 2013).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Croatia in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $205,639,805;
  • Residues and waste from the food industries; prepared animal feed (HS code 23) - an increase of $11,467,910;
  • Ships, boats and floating structures (HS code 89) - an increase of $10,211,945;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - an increase of $4,907,206.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Croatia in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Copper and articles thereof (HS code 74) - a decrease of $31,722,968;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $5,384,563.
