In 2014, Russia’s trade with Ethiopia totaled $77,012,281, up 12.21% ($8,380,440) from 2013.

Russia’s exports to Ethiopia in 2014 were $43,850,810, down 5.07% ($2,340,355) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Ethiopia in 2014 totaled $33,161,471, up 47.77% ($10,720,795) from 2013.

Russia’s trade surplus with Ethiopia in 2014 was $10,689,339, a 54.99% decrease ($13,061,150) over 2013.

Ethiopia was Russia’s 118th largest trading partner in 2014 (up from 119th in 2013), accounting for 0.0098% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0081% in 2013).

Ethiopia was Russia’s 120th largest export market in 2014 (down from 117th in 2013), accounting for 0.0088% of Russia’s total exports (just as in 2013).

Ethiopia was Russia’s 99th largest supplier in 2014 (up from 106th in 2013), accounting for 0.0116% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0071% in 2013).

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $279,460;
  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - an increase of $250,219.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Ethiopia in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $15,433,735;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $2,446,745;
  • Products of the milling industry; malt; starches; inulin; wheat gluten (HS code 11) - a decrease of $1,766,391;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - a decrease of $612,411;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - a decrease of $578,805;
  • Rubber and articles thereof (HS code 40) - a decrease of $481,484.

  • Coffee, tea, maté and spices (HS code 09) - an increase of $4,839,921;
