Russia’s Trade with Indonesia

In 2014, Russia’s trade with Indonesia was $2,567,207,438, down 13.29% ($393,589,764) from 2013.

Russia’s exports to Indonesia in 2014 were $918,837,251, down 25.51% ($314,716,488) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Indonesia in 2014 were $1,648,370,187, down 4.57% ($78,873,276) from 2013.

Russia’s trade deficit with Indonesia in 2014 was $729,532,936, a 47.77% increase ($235,843,212) over 2013.

Indonesia was Russia’s 42nd largest trading partner in 2014 (down from 40th in 2013), accounting for 0.3279% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.3515% in 2013).

Indonesia was Russia’s 59th largest export market in 2014 (down from 54th in 2013), accounting for 0.1849% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2340% in 2013).

Indonesia was Russia’s 30th largest supplier in 2014 (up from 33rd in 2013), accounting for 0.5764% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.5484% in 2013).

Russia’s Exports to Indonesia

The major share of Russian exports to Indonesia in 2014 (and in 2013) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 63.32% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (11.53% in 2013);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 17.23% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (6.36% in 2013);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 6.17% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (2.33% in 2013);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 6.00% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (5.41% in 2013);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 4.49% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (12.95% in 2013);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Indonesia in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $110,920,212;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - a decrease of $83,487,012;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $19,832,131;
