In 2014, Russia’s trade with Mongolia was $1,500,871,909, down 6.96% ($112,192,060) from 2013.

Russia’s exports to Mongolia in 2014 were $1,460,433,642, down 7.11% ($111,703,509) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Mongolia in 2014 were $40,438,267, down 1.19% ($488,551) from 2013.

Russia’s trade surplus with Mongolia in 2014 was $1,419,995,375, a 7.26% decrease ($111,214,958) over 2013.

Mongolia was Russia’s 57th largest trading partner in 2014 (up from 58th in 2013), accounting for 0.1917% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1915% in 2013).

Mongolia was Russia’s 46th largest export market in 2014 (down from 44th in 2013), accounting for 0.2939% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2982% in 2013).

Mongolia was Russia’s 95th largest supplier in 2014 (up from 97th in 2013), accounting for 0.0141% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0130% in 2013).

The major share of Russian exports to Mongolia in 2014 (and in 2013) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 70.17% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (72.25% in 2013);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 10.03% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (5.61% in 2013);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 9.91% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (10.49% in 2013);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 4.23% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (4.47% in 2013);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Mongolia in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:
