In 2014, Russia’s trade with Nicaragua was $52,292,590, down 15.15% ($9,335,011) from 2013.

Russia’s exports to Nicaragua in 2014 were $30,407,276, down 19.24% ($7,243,730) from 2013.

Russia’s imports from Nicaragua in 2014 were $21,885,314, down 8.72% ($2,091,281) from 2013.

Russia’s trade surplus with Nicaragua in 2014 was $8,521,962, a 37.68% decrease ($5,152,449) over 2013.

Nicaragua was Russia’s 130th largest trading partner in 2014 (down from 122nd in 2013), accounting for 0.0067% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0073% in 2013).

Nicaragua was Russia’s 125th largest export market in 2014 (down from 120th in 2013), accounting for 0.0061% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0071% in 2013).

Nicaragua was Russia’s 104th largest supplier in 2014 (down from 103rd in 2013), accounting for 0.0077% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0076% in 2013).

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 45.52% of Russia’s total exports to Nicaragua (80.41% in 2013);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 37.42% of Russia’s total exports to Nicaragua (7.37% in 2013);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 13.73% of Russia’s total exports to Nicaragua (10.63% in 2013);

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $399,989.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Nicaragua in 2014 over 2013 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $16,432,563;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $511,832;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $146,065.
