Russia’s Trade

In 2015, Russia’s trade was $526,275 million, down 32.78% ($256,651 million) from 2014.

Russia’s exports in 2015 were $343,597 million, down 30.86% ($153,347 million) from 2014.

Russia’s imports in 2015 were $182,678 million, down 36.12% ($103,304 million) from 2014.

Russia’s trade surplus in 2015 was $160,920 million, a 23.72% decrease ($50,042 million) over 2014.

Russia’s Exports

The major share of Russian exports in 2015 (and in 2014) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 63.80% of Russia’s total exports (70.45% in 2014);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 9.59% of Russia’s total exports (8.16% in 2014);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 7.38% of Russia’s total exports (5.86% in 2014);
