In 2015, Russia’s trade with Brazil was $4,838,995,401, down 23.62% ($1,496,738,699) from 2014.

Russia’s exports to Brazil in 2015 were $1,924,277,960, down 18.68% ($442,015,814) from 2014.

Russia’s imports from Brazil in 2015 were $2,914,717,441, down 26.57% ($1,054,722,885) from 2014.

Russia’s trade deficit with Brazil in 2015 was $990,439,481, a 38.22% decrease ($612,707,071) over 2014.

Brazil was Russia’s 22nd largest trading partner in 2015 (up from 25th in 2014), accounting for 0.9195% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.8092% in 2014).

Brazil was Russia’s 36th largest export market in 2015 (down from 35th in 2014), accounting for 0.5600% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.4762% in 2014).

Brazil was Russia’s 15th largest supplier in 2015 (up from 18th in 2014), accounting for 1.5956% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.3880% in 2014).

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 8.25% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (9.00% in 2014);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 3.81% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (5.34% in 2014);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 0.49% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (1.10% in 2014).

Russia’s Imports from Brazil

The major share of Russian imports from Brazil in 2015 (and in 2014) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 87.64% of Russia’s total imports from Brazil (90.54% in 2014);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 4.31% of Russia’s total imports from Brazil (2.09% in 2014);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 4.06% of Russia’s total imports from Brazil (2.39% in 2014);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 2.31% of Russia’s total imports from Brazil (3.53% in 2014).
