In 2015, Russia’s trade with Cyprus was $303,108,565, down 53.60% ($350,168,919) from 2014.

Russia’s exports to Cyprus in 2015 were $243,930,771, down 59.99% ($365,719,348) from 2014.

Russia’s imports from Cyprus in 2015 totaled $59,177,794, up 35.64% ($15,550,429) from 2014.

Russia’s trade surplus with Cyprus in 2015 was $184,752,977, a 67.36% decrease ($381,269,777) over 2014.

Cyprus was Russia’s 87th largest trading partner in 2015 (down from 78th in 2014), accounting for 0.0576% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0834% in 2014).

Cyprus was Russia’s 79th largest export market in 2015 (down from 67th in 2014), accounting for 0.0710% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1227% in 2014).

Cyprus was Russia’s 88th largest supplier in 2015 (up from 94th in 2014), accounting for 0.0324% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0153% in 2014).

The major share of Russian exports to Cyprus in 2015 (and in 2014) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 75.98% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (78.83% in 2014);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 8.93% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (8.62% in 2014);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.04% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (3.18% in 2014);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 4.84% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (8.42% in 2014);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.79% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (0.12% in 2014);

  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - an increase of $1,396,865;
  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - an increase of $1,211,942;
  • Beverages, spirits and vinegar (HS code 22) - an increase of $1,102,920.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Cyprus in 2015 over 2014 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $295,282,815;
  • Ships, boats and floating structures (HS code 89) - a decrease of $32,150,223;
  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $30,304,851;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $8,486,958;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $4,350,319;
