Russia’s Trade with Indonesia

In 2015, Russia’s trade with Indonesia was $1,961,615,627, down 23.59% ($605,591,811) from 2014.

Russia’s exports to Indonesia in 2015 were $439,091,615, down 52.21% ($479,745,636) from 2014.

Russia’s imports from Indonesia in 2015 were $1,522,524,012, down 7.63% ($125,846,175) from 2014.

Russia’s trade deficit with Indonesia in 2015 was $1,083,432,397, a 48.51% increase ($353,899,461) over 2014.

Indonesia was Russia’s 43rd largest trading partner in 2015 (down from 42nd in 2014), accounting for 0.3727% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3279% in 2014).

Indonesia was Russia’s 66th largest export market in 2015 (down from 59th in 2014), accounting for 0.1278% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1849% in 2014).

Indonesia was Russia’s 27th largest supplier in 2015 (up from 30th in 2014), accounting for 0.8334% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.5764% in 2014).

Russia’s Exports to Indonesia

The major share of Russian exports to Indonesia in 2015 (and in 2014) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 41.79% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (17.23% in 2014);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 30.50% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (63.32% in 2014);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 10.07% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (6.00% in 2014);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 9.19% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (4.49% in 2014);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 7.52% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (6.17% in 2014);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 0.80% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (2.61% in 2014).

  • Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - an increase of $2,529,625.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Indonesia in 2015 over 2014 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $12,118,490;
