In 2015, Russia’s trade with South Ossetia was $54,138,669, down 22.63% ($15,834,759) from 2014.

Russia’s exports to South Ossetia in 2015 were $46,024,609, down 28.46% ($18,305,359) from 2014.

Russia’s imports from South Ossetia in 2015 totaled $8,114,060, up 43.78% ($2,470,600) from 2014.

Russia’s trade surplus with South Ossetia in 2015 was $37,910,549, a 35.40% decrease ($20,775,959) over 2014.

South Ossetia was Russia’s 128th largest trading partner in 2015 (down from 121st in 2014), accounting for 0.0103% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0089% in 2014).

South Ossetia was Russia’s 119th largest export market in 2015 (down from 104th in 2014), accounting for 0.0134% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0129% in 2014).

South Ossetia was Russia’s 115th largest supplier in 2015 (up from 131st in 2014), accounting for 0.0044% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0020% in 2014).

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 27.84% of Russia’s total exports to South Ossetia (32.02% in 2014);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 12.34% of Russia’s total exports to South Ossetia (3.91% in 2014);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 9.34% of Russia’s total exports to South Ossetia (11.55% in 2014);
