In 2015, Russia’s trade with Tanzania was $138,809,510, down 10.05% ($15,508,247) from 2014.

Russia’s exports to Tanzania in 2015 were $91,416,540, down 12.05% ($12,529,400) from 2014.

Russia’s imports from Tanzania in 2015 were $47,392,970, down 5.91% ($2,978,847) from 2014.

Russia’s trade surplus with Tanzania in 2015 was $44,023,570, a 17.83% decrease ($9,550,553) over 2014.

Tanzania was Russia’s 106th largest trading partner in 2015 (down from 105th in 2014), accounting for 0.0264% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0197% in 2014).

Tanzania was Russia’s 101st largest export market in 2015 (down from 96th in 2014), accounting for 0.0266% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0209% in 2014).

Tanzania was Russia’s 94th largest supplier in 2015 (down from 92nd in 2014), accounting for 0.0259% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0176% in 2014).

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 7.84% of Russia’s total exports to Tanzania (5.27% in 2014);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Tanzania in 2015 over 2014 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $19,973,071;
  • Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - a decrease of $1,358,100;
  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $615,305;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $612,182;
  • Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers (HS code 07) - a decrease of $591,724;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - a decrease of $345,726.
