Russia’s Trade with the Philippines

In 2015, Russia’s trade with the Philippines was $587,464,820, down 59.14% ($850,444,760) from 2014.

Russia’s exports to the Philippines in 2015 were $321,277,829, down 69.68% ($738,199,015) from 2014.

Russia’s imports from the Philippines in 2015 were $266,186,991, down 29.66% ($112,245,745) from 2014.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Philippines in 2015 was $55,090,838, a 91.91% decrease ($625,953,270) over 2014.

The Philippines was Russia’s 76th largest trading partner in 2015 (down from 60th in 2014), accounting for 0.1116% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1837% in 2014).

The Philippines was Russia’s 70th largest export market in 2015 (down from 54th in 2014), accounting for 0.0935% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2132% in 2014).

The Philippines was Russia’s 60th largest supplier in 2015 (just as in 2014), accounting for 0.1457% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1323% in 2014).

Russia’s Exports to the Philippines

The major share of Russian exports to the Philippines in 2015 (and in 2014) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 88.50% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (94.39% in 2014);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 7.04% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (1.90% in 2014);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 2.96% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (2.61% in 2014).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to the Philippines in 2015 over 2014 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - an increase of $2,019,643;
  • Rubber and articles thereof (HS code 40) - an increase of $1,758,922.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to the Philippines in 2015 over 2014 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $716,141,550;
  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $19,030,635;

Russia’s Imports from the Philippines
