Russia’s Trade with Ukraine

In 2015, Russia’s trade with Ukraine was $14,965,730,086, down 46.29% ($12,896,191,237) from 2014.

Russia’s exports to Ukraine in 2015 were $9,294,149,138, down 45.69% ($7,820,299,046) from 2014.

Russia’s imports from Ukraine in 2015 were $5,671,580,948, down 47.23% ($5,075,892,191) from 2014.

Russia’s trade surplus with Ukraine in 2015 was $3,622,568,190, a 43.10% decrease ($2,744,406,855) over 2014.

Ukraine was Russia’s 11th largest trading partner in 2015 (down from 9th in 2014), accounting for 2.8437% of Russia’s total trade (down from 3.5587% in 2014).

Ukraine was Russia’s 12th largest export market in 2015 (down from 9th in 2014), accounting for 2.7050% of Russia’s total exports (down from 3.4439% in 2014).

Ukraine was Russia’s 8th largest supplier in 2015 (down from 7th in 2014), accounting for 3.1047% of Russia’s total imports (down from 3.7581% in 2014).

The major share of Russian exports to Ukraine in 2015 (and in 2014) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 25.93% of Russia’s total exports to Ukraine (16.18% in 2014);
