Russia's Trade with Croatia

In the 1st quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Croatia was $138,805,477, down 43.18% ($105,468,061) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $92,206,374, down 52.21% ($100,721,729) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $46,599,103, down 9.24% ($4,746,332) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2016 was $45,607,271, a 67.79% decrease ($95,975,397) over the 1st quarter of 2015.

Croatia was Russia's 67th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 58th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1426% of Russia's total trade (down from 0.1846% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Croatia was Russia's 64th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 54th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1503% of Russia's total exports (down from 0.2137% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Croatia was Russia's 62nd largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 61st in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1297% of Russia's total imports (up from 0.1222% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Croatia

The major share of Russian exports to Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2016 (and in the 1st quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 88.69% of Russia's total exports to Croatia (89.57% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 7.17% of Russia's total exports to Croatia (5.14% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 1.16% of Russia's total exports to Croatia (0.00% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.13% of Russia's total exports to Croatia (0.45% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 0.05% of Russia's total exports to Croatia (2.59% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $374,298;
  • Articles of apparel and clothing accessories, not knitted or crocheted (HS code 62) - an increase of $296,874.

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2016 over the 1st quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $91,032,375;
  • Residues and waste from the food industries; prepared animal feed (HS code 23) - a decrease of $4,996,129;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $3,405,073;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $981,313.

Russia's Imports from Croatia

  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 12.53% of Russia's total imports from Croatia (13.70% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 10.98% of Russia's total imports from Croatia (17.55% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 4.77% of Russia's total imports from Croatia (17.26% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
