Russia's Trade with Denmark

In the 1st quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Denmark was $461,635,676, down 35.36% ($252,482,593) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Denmark in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $298,833,489, down 43.37% ($228,850,322) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Denmark in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $162,802,187, down 12.68% ($23,632,271) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Denmark in the 1st quarter of 2016 was $136,031,302, a 60.14% decrease ($205,218,051) over the 1st quarter of 2015.

Denmark was Russia's 37th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 32nd in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4744% of Russia's total trade (down from 0.5398% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Denmark was Russia's 37th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 36th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4870% of Russia's total exports (down from 0.5846% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Denmark was Russia's 38th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 35th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4530% of Russia's total imports (up from 0.4436% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Denmark

The major share of Russian exports to Denmark in the 1st quarter of 2016 (and in the 1st quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 68.83% of Russia's total exports to Denmark (78.43% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 13.86% of Russia's total exports to Denmark (12.49% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 7.66% of Russia's total exports to Denmark (4.31% in the 1st quarter of 2015);

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Denmark in the 1st quarter of 2016 over the 1st quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $208,171,546;
  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $23,150,276;
  • Residues and waste from the food industries; prepared animal feed (HS code 23) - a decrease of $9,291,922;
