Russia's Trade with Latvia

In the 1st quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Latvia was $1,336,695,836, down 40.55% ($911,870,288) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Latvia in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $1,281,216,685, down 40.50% ($872,242,177) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Latvia in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $55,479,151, down 41.67% ($39,628,111) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Latvia in the 1st quarter of 2016 was $1,225,737,534, a 40.45% decrease ($832,614,066) over the 1st quarter of 2015.

Latvia was Russia's 18th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 16th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.3737% of Russia's total trade (down from 1.6996% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Latvia was Russia's 15th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 13th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 2.0878% of Russia's total exports (down from 2.3857% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Latvia was Russia's 59th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 54th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1544% of Russia's total imports (down from 0.2263% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

The major share of Russian exports to Latvia in the 1st quarter of 2016 (and in the 1st quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Latvia in the 1st quarter of 2016 over the 1st quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $893,352,874;
