Russia's Trade with Serbia

In the 1st quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Serbia was $392,607,515, down 6.95% ($29,304,649) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Serbia in the 1st quarter of 2016 were $202,759,254, down 24.76% ($66,736,366) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Serbia in the 1st quarter of 2016 totaled $189,848,261, up 24.56% ($37,431,717) from the 1st quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Serbia in the 1st quarter of 2016 was $12,910,993, a 88.97% decrease ($104,168,083) over the 1st quarter of 2015.

Serbia was Russia's 44th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2016 (up from 45th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4035% of Russia's total trade (up from 0.3189% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Serbia was Russia's 49th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2016 (down from 45th in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.3304% of Russia's total exports (up from 0.2986% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Serbia was Russia's 34th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2016 (up from 43rd in the 1st quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.5283% of Russia's total imports (up from 0.3626% in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Serbia

The major share of Russian exports to Serbia in the 1st quarter of 2016 (and in the 1st quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 44.46% of Russia's total exports to Serbia (74.21% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 28.59% of Russia's total exports to Serbia (14.47% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 9.61% of Russia's total exports to Serbia (1.19% in the 1st quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 8.15% of Russia's total exports to Serbia (5.81% in the 1st quarter of 2015);

  • Plastics and articles thereof (HS code 39) - an increase of $6,735,989;
  • Tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes (HS code 24) - an increase of $3,867,342;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $1,647,076;
  • Rubber and articles thereof (HS code 40) - an increase of $1,416,594;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - an increase of $975,813;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - an increase of $813,397;
  • Glass and glassware (HS code 70) - an increase of $647,714.

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Serbia in the 1st quarter of 2016 over the 1st quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $106,631,655;
