Russia's Trade with Bosnia and Herzegovina

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Bosnia and Herzegovina was $25,845,900, down 65.95% ($50,068,667) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $10,678,809, down 82.72% ($51,126,559) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $15,167,091, up 7.50% ($1,057,892) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade with Bosnia and Herzegovina went from a surplus of $47,696,169 in the 2nd quarter of 2015, to a deficit of $4,488,282 in the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Bosnia and Herzegovina was Russia's 103rd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 87th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0237% of Russia's total trade (down from 0.0557% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Bosnia and Herzegovina was Russia's 107th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 76th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0161% of Russia's total exports (down from 0.0675% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Bosnia and Herzegovina was Russia's 86th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 89th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0358% of Russia's total imports (up from 0.0315% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

The major share of Russian exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 45.70% of Russia's total exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina (89.17% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 25.29% of Russia's total exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina (3.65% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 17.48% of Russia's total exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina (4.13% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.82% of Russia's total exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina (1.02% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);

  • Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - an increase of $57,087;
  • Miscellaneous edible preparations (HS code 21) - an increase of $51,243;
  • Tanning or dyeing extracts; dyes, pigments, paints, varnishes, putty and mastics (HS code 32) - an increase of $48,821.

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $50,231,626;
  • Organic chemicals (HS code 29) - a decrease of $563,200;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $525,956;
  • Raw hides and skins (other than furskins) and leather (HS code 41) - a decrease of $374,155;
  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $256,748;
  • Cotton (HS code 52) - a decrease of $33,588.

Russia's Imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The major share of Russian imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:
