Russia's Trade with Colombia

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Colombia was $55,686,911, down 38.75% ($35,227,342) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $30,653,753, down 52.97% ($34,530,096) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $25,033,158, down 2.71% ($697,246) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $5,620,595, a 85.75% decrease ($33,832,850) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Colombia was Russia's 89th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 82nd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0512% of Russia's total trade (down from 0.0667% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Colombia was Russia's 88th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 74th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0461% of Russia's total exports (down from 0.0712% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Colombia was Russia's 78th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 75th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0591% of Russia's total imports (up from 0.0574% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Colombia

The major share of Russian exports to Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 72.70% of Russia's total exports to Colombia (56.95% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 19.85% of Russia's total exports to Colombia (34.27% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 3.31% of Russia's total exports to Colombia (4.38% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 3.20% of Russia's total exports to Colombia (3.22% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $1,116,663;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - a decrease of $1,006,968;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $690,383;

Russia's Imports from Colombia

The major share of Russian imports from Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 88.83% of Russia's total imports from Colombia (86.76% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 6.86% of Russia's total imports from Colombia (7.31% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

The largest gains in Russia's imports from Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:
