The top ten Russia’s export markets in Europe in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were the Netherlands (11.2348% of Russia’s total exports), Germany (7.1959%), Belarus (5.6914%), Italy (4.7210%), Poland (3.1395%), Belgium (2.4000%), Finland (2.3907%), the United Kingdom (2.2494%), Ukraine (2.1637%), and Latvia (2.0390%);

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Europe in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015:
- The share of Italy in Russia’s total exports declined from 7.1228% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 4.7210% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
- The share of Belarus in Russia’s total exports rose from 4.5021% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 5.6914% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
- The share of Finland in Russia’s total exports rose from 1.7281% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 2.3907% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
- The share of Switzerland in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.5960% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 1.1733% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
- The share of Bulgaria in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.5174% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.8024% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
- The share of Spain in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.4806% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.7282% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
