RUSSIAN TRADE WITH EUROPEAN COUNTRIES IN THE 2ND QUARTER OF 2016

The major trading partners of Russia in Europe in the 2nd quarter of 2016:

The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Europe in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were Germany (8.9309% of Russia’s total foreign trade), the Netherlands (7.6355%), Belarus (5.7208%), Italy (4.6892%), Poland (2.8186%), France (2.3764%), Ukraine (2.2330%), the United Kingdom (2.2104%), Finland (2.0658%), and Belgium (1.9551%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Europe in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were the Netherlands (11.2348% of Russia’s total exports), Germany (7.1959%), Belarus (5.6914%), Italy (4.7210%), Poland (3.1395%), Belgium (2.4000%), Finland (2.3907%), the United Kingdom (2.2494%), Ukraine (2.1637%), and Latvia (2.0390%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Europe in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were Germany (11.6504% of Russia’s total imports), Belarus (5.7668%), Italy (4.6392%), France (3.5767%), Ukraine (2.3416%), Poland (2.3155%), the United Kingdom (2.1493%), the Netherlands (1.9937%), the Czech Republic (1.6666%), and Finland (1.5565%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Europe in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015:

  • The share of Italy in Russia’s total exports declined from 7.1228% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 4.7210% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Belarus in Russia’s total exports rose from 4.5021% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 5.6914% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Finland in Russia’s total exports rose from 1.7281% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 2.3907% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Switzerland in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.5960% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 1.1733% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Bulgaria in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.5174% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.8024% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Spain in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.4806% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.7282% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Romania in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.4605% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.7386% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Russia’s total exports declined 4.2-fold from 0.0675% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.0161% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Slovenia in Russia’s total exports rose 2.8-fold from 0.0451% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.1258% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Montenegro in Russia’s total exports declined 7.1-fold from 0.0192% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.0027% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Portugal in Russia’s total exports rose 10.6-fold from 0.0182% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.1935% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Faroe Islands in Russia’s total exports rose 22.1-fold from 0.0027% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.0598% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Ukraine in Russia’s total imports declined from 3.3352% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 2.3416% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of the Netherlands in Russia’s total imports rose from 1.5457% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 1.9937% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Norway in Russia’s total imports declined 4.6-fold from 0.5331% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.1161% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Iceland in Russia’s total imports declined 3.3-fold from 0.0544% in the 2nd quarter of the 2015 to 0.0163% in the 2nd quarter of the 2016.
