Russia's Trade with France

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with France was $2,586,434,723, down 11.28% ($328,826,346) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to France in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $1,070,215,647, down 30.16% ($462,212,250) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from France in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $1,516,219,076, up 9.65% ($133,385,904) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade with France went from a surplus of $149,594,725 in the 2nd quarter of 2015, to a deficit of $446,003,429 in the 2nd quarter of 2016.

France was Russia's 12th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 14th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 2.3764% of Russia's total trade (up from 2.1383% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

France was Russia's 17th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.6106% of Russia's total exports (down from 1.6739% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

The major share of Russian exports to France in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 6.40% of Russia's total exports to France (3.33% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
