Russia's Trade with Macedonia

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Macedonia totaled $42,537,000, up 12.04% ($4,572,628) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Macedonia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $24,451,469, up 55.84% ($8,760,909) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Macedonia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $18,085,531, down 18.80% ($4,188,281) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade with Macedonia went from a deficit of $6,583,252 in the 2nd quarter of 2015, to a surplus of $6,365,938 in the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Macedonia was Russia's 95th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 102nd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0391% of Russia's total trade (up from 0.0278% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Macedonia was Russia's 91st largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 107th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0368% of Russia's total exports (up from 0.0171% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Macedonia was Russia's 83rd largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 81st in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0427% of Russia's total imports (down from 0.0497% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

The major share of Russian exports to Macedonia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Railway or tramway locomotives, rolling-stock and parts thereof; railway or tramway track fixtures and fittings and parts thereof; mechanical (including electro-mechanical) traffic signalling equipment of all kinds (HS code 86) - an increase of $131,129;
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $121,922;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - an increase of $91,127.

The largest declines in Russia's exports to Macedonia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $7,397,380;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - a decrease of $1,052,949;
