Russia's Trade with Romania

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Romania totaled $778,867,868, up 3.16% ($23,823,432) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Romania in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $490,751,145, up 16.40% ($69,135,588) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Romania in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $288,116,723, down 13.59% ($45,312,156) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with Romania in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $202,634,422, a 129.78% increase ($114,447,744) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Romania was Russia's 28th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 33rd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.7156% of Russia's total trade (up from 0.5538% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Romania was Russia's 30th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 27th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.6797% of Russia's total imports (down from 0.7445% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Romania

The major share of Russian exports to Romania in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 80.22% of Russia's total exports to Romania (81.18% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 10.30% of Russia's total exports to Romania (7.59% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 2.96% of Russia's total exports to Romania (2.07% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 2.46% of Russia's total exports to Romania (3.24% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
