Russia's Trade with Sweden

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with Sweden was $822,928,765, down 18.36% ($185,037,251) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to Sweden in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $404,700,064, down 31.05% ($182,287,809) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from Sweden in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $418,228,701, down 0.65% ($2,749,442) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade with Sweden went from a surplus of $166,009,730 in the 2nd quarter of 2015, to a deficit of $13,528,637 in the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Sweden was Russia's 26th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 25th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.7561% of Russia's total trade (up from 0.7393% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Sweden was Russia's 34th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 30th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.6091% of Russia's total exports (down from 0.6412% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Sweden was Russia's 24th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 25th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.9866% of Russia's total imports (up from 0.9399% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to Sweden

The major share of Russian exports to Sweden in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 66.57% of Russia's total exports to Sweden (62.81% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 23.69% of Russia's total exports to Sweden (26.71% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 3.17% of Russia's total exports to Sweden (2.34% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 2.18% of Russia's total exports to Sweden (0.73% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 2.18% of Russia's total exports to Sweden (2.26% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
