Russia's Trade with the Netherlands

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia's trade with the Netherlands was $8,310,401,884, down 32.94% ($4,082,973,257) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's exports to the Netherlands in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $7,465,231,802, down 36.20% ($4,235,855,593) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's imports from the Netherlands in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $845,170,082, up 22.08% ($152,882,336) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia's trade surplus with the Netherlands in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $6,620,061,720, a 39.87% decrease ($4,388,737,929) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

The Netherlands was Russia's 3rd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 2nd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 7.6355% of Russia's total trade (down from 9.0904% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

The Netherlands was Russia's largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 11.2348% of Russia's total exports (down from 12.7816% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

The Netherlands was Russia's 13th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 15th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 1.9937% of Russia's total imports (up from 1.5457% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia's Exports to the Netherlands

The major share of Russian exports to the Netherlands in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 86.66% of Russia's total exports to the Netherlands (78.75% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 9.88% of Russia's total exports to the Netherlands (18.62% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.61% of Russia's total exports to the Netherlands (1.43% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
