Russia’s Trade with Armenia

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Armenia was $243,570,080, down 0.09% ($216,390) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Armenia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $158,625,223, down 20.42% ($40,695,267) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Armenia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $84,944,857, up 91.03% ($40,478,877) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Armenia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $73,680,366, a 52.42% decrease ($81,174,144) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Armenia was Russia’s 57th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 62nd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2238% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1788% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Armenia was Russia’s 56th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 54th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2387% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2177% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Armenia was Russia’s 58th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 64th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2004% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0993% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Armenia

The major share of Russian exports to Armenia in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 30.39% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (47.35% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 20.57% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (22.15% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
