Russia’s Trade with Kuwait

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Kuwait totaled $117,689,825, up 152.87% ($71,148,866) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Kuwait in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $117,686,540, up 152.87% ($71,146,184) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Kuwait in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $3,285, up 444.78% ($2,682) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kuwait in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $117,683,255, a 152.87% increase ($71,143,502) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Kuwait was Russia’s 74th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 97th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1081% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0341% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Kuwait was Russia’s 60th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 84th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1771% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0508% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Kuwait was Russia’s 175th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 185th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0000% of Russia’s total imports (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Kuwait

The major share of Russian exports to Kuwait in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 97.82% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (76.31% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.35% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (3.89% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
