In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Myanmar (Burma) was $16,237,979, down 62.99% ($27,631,976) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Myanmar (Burma) in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $13,527,636, down 67.20% ($27,720,222) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Myanmar (Burma) in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $2,710,343, up 3.37% ($88,246) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Myanmar (Burma) in the 2nd quarter of 2016 was $10,817,293, a 71.99% decrease ($27,808,468) over the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Myanmar (Burma) was Russia’s 112th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 110th in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0064% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0059% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

  • Miscellaneous articles of base metal (HS code 83) - an increase of $49,238.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Myanmar (Burma) in the 2nd quarter of 2016 over the 2nd quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $2,241,827;
  • Printed books, newspapers, pictures and other products of the printing industry; manuscripts, typescripts and plans (HS code 49) - a decrease of $1,339,442;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - a decrease of $487,756;
  • Products of animal origin, not elsewhere specified or included (HS code 05) - a decrease of $325,410;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $290,213;
  • Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - a decrease of $255,517;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $104,531;
  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $78,310.
