Russia’s Trade with the Philippines

In the 2nd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with the Philippines was $98,744,955, down 44.82% ($80,221,698) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were $35,469,794, down 73.08% ($96,307,069) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2016 totaled $63,275,161, up 34.09% ($16,085,371) from the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade with the Philippines went from a surplus of $84,587,073 in the 2nd quarter of 2015, to a deficit of $27,805,367 in the 2nd quarter of 2016.

The Philippines was Russia's 77th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 71st in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0907% of Russia's total trade (down from 0.1313% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

The Philippines was Russia's 85th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (down from 63rd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0534% of Russia's total exports (down from 0.1439% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

The Philippines was Russia's 60th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (up from 63rd in the 2nd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1493% of Russia's total imports (up from 0.1054% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to the Philippines

The major share of Russian exports to the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 77.43% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (93.59% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 12.50% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (3.82% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.14% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (1.52% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.82% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (1.01% in the 2nd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.86% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (0.06% in the 2nd quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Imports from the Philippines

The major share of Russian imports from the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2016 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:
