Russia’s Trade with Armenia

In the 3rd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Armenia totaled $336,385,827, up 10.30% ($31,417,476) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Armenia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were $251,236,658, down 4.43% ($11,642,297) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Armenia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 totaled $85,149,169, up 102.31% ($43,059,773) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Armenia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 was $166,087,489, a 24.78% decrease ($54,702,070) over the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Armenia was Russia’s 51st largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2759% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2403% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Armenia was Russia’s 47th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 45th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.3492% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3306% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Armenia was Russia’s 54th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (up from 67th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1704% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0888% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Armenia

The major share of Russian exports to Armenia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 30.36% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (56.80% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 22.67% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (12.77% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
