The major trading partners of Russia in Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2016:

The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were China (14.9169% of Russia’s total foreign trade), South Korea (3.7175%), Japan (3.4715%), Turkey (3.1415%), Kazakhstan (2.6812%), India (1.6628%), Taiwan (0.9378%), Vietnam (0.7380%), Uzbekistan (0.5799%), and Iran (0.5769%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were China (8.8670% of Russia’s total exports), Turkey (4.7408%), South Korea (4.1038%), Kazakhstan (3.3355%), Japan (3.2582%), India (1.9898%), Taiwan (0.9823%), Iran (0.9351%), Singapore (0.7888%), and Uzbekistan (0.7079%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were China (23.6260% of Russia’s total imports), Japan (3.7786%), South Korea (3.1613%), Kazakhstan (1.7392%), Vietnam (1.4357%), India (1.1921%), Indonesia (1.0185%), Taiwan (0.8737%), Turkey (0.8392%), and Thailand (0.6514%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2016 over the 3rd quarter of 2015:

  • The share of Turkey in Russia’s total exports declined from 5.7018% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 4.7408% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Japan in Russia’s total exports declined from 4.1122% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 3.2582% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of India in Russia’s total exports rose from 1.6014% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 1.9898% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Iran in Russia’s total exports rose 2.5-fold from 0.3742% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 0.9351% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Iraq in Russia’s total exports declined 2.1-fold from 0.3574% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 0.1694% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Malaysia in Russia’s total exports rose 2.2-fold from 0.1545% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 0.3413% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Thailand in Russia’s total exports rose 3.2-fold from 0.1223% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 0.3952% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Cambodia in Russia’s total exports rose 6.3-fold from 0.0004% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 0.0025% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Japan in Russia’s total imports rose from 3.0942% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 3.7786% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Kazakhstan in Russia’s total imports declined from 2.4848% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 1.7392% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Turkey in Russia’s total imports declined 2.5-fold from 2.1035% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 0.8392% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Armenia in Russia’s total imports rose from 0.0888% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 0.1704% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016.
