Russia’s Trade with Luxembourg

In the 3rd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Luxembourg totaled $51,180,216, up 20.51% ($8,709,824) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Luxembourg in the 3rd quarter of 2016 totaled $11,081,040, up 21.44% ($1,956,057) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Luxembourg in the 3rd quarter of 2016 totaled $40,099,176, up 20.25% ($6,753,767) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade deficit with Luxembourg in the 3rd quarter of 2016 was $29,018,136, a 19.81% increase ($4,797,710) over the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Luxembourg was Russia’s 98th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (up from 103rd in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0420% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0335% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Luxembourg was Russia’s 118th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0154% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0115% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Luxembourg was Russia’s 72nd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (up from 75th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0802% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0704% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Luxembourg in the 3rd quarter of 2016 over the 3rd quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $634,583;
  • Rubber and articles thereof (HS code 40) - a decrease of $69,243;
