Russia’s Trade with Singapore

In the 3rd quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Singapore was $674,078,431, down 15.34% ($122,182,364) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were $567,494,499, down 16.73% ($113,979,653) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were $106,583,932, down 7.15% ($8,202,711) from the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2016 was $460,910,567, a 18.67% decrease ($105,776,942) over the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Singapore was Russia’s 35th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 30th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.5529% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.6274% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Singapore was Russia’s 32nd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 25th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.7888% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.8569% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Singapore was Russia’s 52nd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (down from 49th in the 3rd quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2133% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.2422% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Singapore

The major share of Russian exports to Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2016 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 97.12% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (66.62% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.56% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (29.49% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 0.60% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (1.51% in the 3rd quarter of 2015);
  • Precious metals and stones (HS code 71) - 0.03% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (1.86% in the 3rd quarter of 2015).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 3rd quarter of 2016 over the 3rd quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:
