The major trading partners of Russia in Asia in the 4th quarter of 2016:

The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Asia in the 4th quarter of 2016 were China (14.3134% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Turkey (3.4861%), Japan (3.2921%), South Korea (3.0024%), Kazakhstan (2.8430%), India (1.6588%), Taiwan (0.9651%), Vietnam (0.9072%), Indonesia (0.7079%), and Azerbaijan (0.5522%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Asia in the 4th quarter of 2016 were China (10.2670% of Russia’s total exports), Turkey (4.6966%), Kazakhstan (3.4205%), South Korea (3.0898%), Japan (3.0859%), India (1.9281%), Taiwan (0.9979%), Singapore (0.7114%), Vietnam (0.7053%), and Azerbaijan (0.7013%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Asia in the 4th quarter of 2016 were China (20.7836% of Russia’s total imports), Japan (3.6220%), South Korea (2.8628%), Kazakhstan (1.9197%), Indonesia (1.6141%), Turkey (1.5506%), Vietnam (1.2301%), India (1.2281%), Taiwan (0.9126%), and Malaysia (0.6860%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in the 4th quarter of 2016 over the 4th quarter of 2015:

  • The share of South Korea in Russia’s total exports declined from 4.3768% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 3.0898% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Japan in Russia’s total exports declined from 4.1522% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 3.0859% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Turkmenistan in Russia’s total exports declined 2.7-fold from 0.3554% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.1301% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Saudi Arabia in Russia’s total exports declined 3.1-fold from 0.2053% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.0662% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Jordan in Russia’s total exports declined 3.3-fold from 0.1315% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.0402% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Hong Kong in Russia’s total exports rose 2.0-fold from 0.1248% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.2500% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Malaysia in Russia’s total exports rose 3.3-fold from 0.1112% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.3639% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Myanmar (Burma) in Russia’s total exports rose 4.7-fold from 0.0385% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.1823% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of South Korea in Russia’s total imports rose from 2.3293% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 2.8628% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Turkey in Russia’s total imports declined from 2.0194% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 1.5506% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Indonesia in Russia’s total imports rose from 0.8172% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 1.6141% in the 4th quarter of the 2016.
