The major trading partners of Russia in Europe in the 4th quarter of 2016:

The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Europe in the 4th quarter of 2016 were Germany (8.6974% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Netherlands (6.5681%), Belarus (4.5947%), Italy (4.0538%), Poland (2.9191%), France (2.7562%), Ukraine (2.2057%), United Kingdom (2.1654%), Finland (2.0378%), and Belgium (1.5069%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Europe in the 4th quarter of 2016 were Netherlands (9.6875% of Russia’s total exports), Germany (7.5864%), Belarus (4.4110%), Italy (3.8238%), Poland (3.3455%), Finland (2.4425%), United Kingdom (2.3355%), Ukraine (2.1741%), Belgium (1.6653%), and France (1.6284%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Europe in the 4th quarter of 2016 were Germany (10.4740% of Russia’s total imports), Belarus (4.8884%), France (4.5594%), Italy (4.4216%), Ukraine (2.2563%), Poland (2.2373%), United Kingdom (1.8933%), Netherlands (1.5804%), Czech Republic (1.5246%), and Finland (1.3906%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Europe in the 4th quarter of 2016 over the 4th quarter of 2015:

  • The share of Italy in Russia’s total exports declined from 4.8221% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 3.8238% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Ukraine in Russia’s total exports declined from 3.2352% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 2.1741% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Poland in Russia’s total exports rose from 2.6201% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 3.3455% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of the United Kingdom in Russia’s total exports rose from 1.7831% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 2.3355% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Spain in Russia’s total exports declined from 0.8635% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.5206% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Sweden in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.4933% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.8034% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Portugal in Russia’s total exports rose 2.3-fold from 0.1034% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.2366% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Faroe Islands in Russia’s total exports declined 6.3-fold from 0.0133% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.0021% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of France in Russia’s total imports rose from 3.6771% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 4.5594% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Ukraine in Russia’s total imports declined from 2.9544% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 2.2563% in the 4th quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Sweden in Russia’s total imports declined from 1.2365% in the 4th quarter of the 2015 to 0.9004% in the 4th quarter of the 2016.
