In 2016, Russia’s trade with Ghana totaled $257,244,082, up 19.38% ($41,766,705) from 2015.
Russia’s exports to Ghana in 2016 totaled $199,936,423, up 48.17% ($65,003,718) from 2015.
Russia’s imports from Ghana in 2016 were $57,307,659, down 28.85% ($23,237,013) from 2015.
Russia’s trade surplus with Ghana in 2016 was $142,628,764, a 162.24% increase ($88,240,731) over 2015.
Ghana was Russia’s 90th largest trading partner in 2016 (up from 95th in 2015), accounting for 0.0550% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0409% in 2015).
Ghana was Russia’s 81st largest export market in 2016 (up from 91st in 2015), accounting for 0.0700% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0393% in 2015).
Ghana was Russia’s 90th largest supplier in 2016 (down from 82nd in 2015), accounting for 0.0314% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0441% in 2015).
Russia’s Exports to Ghana
The major share of Russian exports to Ghana in 2016 (and in 2015) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 70.73% of Russia’s total exports to Ghana (63.83% in 2015);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 15.83% of Russia’s total exports to Ghana (14.87% in 2015);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 9.33% of Russia’s total exports to Ghana (15.24% in 2015);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 2.75% of Russia’s total exports to Ghana (5.22% in 2015).
