In 2016, Russia’s trade with Greece totaled $2,873,780,141, up 4.41% ($121,334,057) from 2015.

Russia’s exports to Greece in 2016 totaled $2,660,766,402, up 5.46% ($137,765,864) from 2015.

Russia’s imports from Greece in 2016 were $213,013,739, down 7.16% ($16,431,807) from 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Greece in 2016 was $2,447,752,663, a 6.72% increase ($154,197,671) over 2015.

Greece was Russia’s 33rd largest trading partner in 2016 (up from 36th in 2015), accounting for 0.6144% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.5230% in 2015).

Greece was Russia’s 24th largest export market in 2016 (up from 27th in 2015), accounting for 0.9320% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.7343% in 2015).

Greece was Russia’s 68th largest supplier in 2016 (down from 63rd in 2015), accounting for 0.1169% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1256% in 2015).

The major share of Russian exports to Greece in 2016 (and in 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 68.33% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (84.66% in 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 27.46% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (9.59% in 2015);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 2.24% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (2.40% in 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 0.79% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (1.44% in 2015).
