Russia’s Trade with Honduras

In the 4th quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Honduras totaled $5,654,264, up 6.32% ($335,950) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2016 were $3,409,058, down 16.36% ($667,004) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $2,245,206, up 80.74% ($1,002,954) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2016 was $1,163,852, a 58.93% decrease ($1,669,958) over the 4th quarter of 2015.

Honduras was Russia’s 138th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 144th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0041% of Russia’s total trade (just as in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Honduras was Russia’s 133rd largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 135th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0041% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0049% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Honduras was Russia’s 114th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 123rd in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0043% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0026% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

The major share of Russian exports to Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2016 over the 4th quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $582,337;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $172,644;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $55,750.

Russia’s Imports from Honduras

The major share of Russian imports from Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 75.25% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (27.90% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 16.10% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (39.29% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 6.53% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (26.06% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 2.07% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (2.74% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2016 over the 4th quarter of 2015 were recorded for the following product groups:
