Russia’s Trade with Ireland

In the 4th quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Ireland totaled $341,036,991, up 4.25% ($13,917,178) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $89,282,774, up 6.11% ($5,137,443) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $251,754,217, up 3.61% ($8,779,735) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2016 was $162,471,443, a 2.29% increase ($3,642,292) over the 4th quarter of 2015.

Ireland was Russia’s 54th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 56th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2503% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2502% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Ireland was Russia’s 74th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2016 (down from 71st in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1065% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1021% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Ireland was Russia’s 35th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2016 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.4802% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.5027% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Ireland

The major share of Russian exports to Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 18.36% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (15.76% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 15.80% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (36.03% in the 4th quarter of 2015);

Russia’s Imports from Ireland

The major share of Russian imports from Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:
