Russia’s Trade with Singapore

In the 4th quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Singapore totaled $730,305,643, up 24.63% ($144,321,210) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $596,455,332, up 34.86% ($154,174,213) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Singapore in the 4th quarter of 2016 were $133,850,311, down 6.86% ($9,853,003) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Singapore in the 4th quarter of 2016 was $462,605,021, a 54.94% increase ($164,027,216) over the 4th quarter of 2015.

Singapore was Russia’s 39th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2016 (down from 38th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.5359% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.4481% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Singapore was Russia’s 30th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 35th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.7114% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.5365% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Singapore was Russia’s 50th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2016 (down from 47th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.2553% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.2973% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Singapore

The major share of Russian exports to Singapore in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 85.72% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (88.79% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 10.91% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (7.20% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 1.76% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (1.74% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 0.99% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (1.27% in the 4th quarter of 2015).
