Russia’s Trade with Tunisia

In the 4th quarter of 2016, Russia’s trade with Tunisia totaled $118,461,884, up 37.87% ($32,538,674) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s exports to Tunisia in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $91,286,735, up 36.55% ($24,436,111) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s imports from Tunisia in the 4th quarter of 2016 totaled $27,175,149, up 42.48% ($8,102,563) from the 4th quarter of 2015.

Russia’s trade surplus with Tunisia in the 4th quarter of 2016 was $64,111,586, a 34.19% increase ($16,333,548) over the 4th quarter of 2015.

Tunisia was Russia’s 82nd largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 84th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0869% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0657% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Tunisia was Russia’s 73rd largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 75th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.1089% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0811% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Tunisia was Russia’s 80th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2016 (up from 88th in the 4th quarter of 2015), accounting for 0.0518% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0395% in the 4th quarter of 2015).

Russia’s Exports to Tunisia

The major share of Russian exports to Tunisia in the 4th quarter of 2016 (and in the 4th quarter of 2015) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 48.68% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (31.58% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 38.57% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (40.96% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 9.77% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (21.41% in the 4th quarter of 2015);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.65% of Russia’s total exports to Tunisia (0.04% in the 4th quarter of 2015);

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $29,240,904;
  • Animal or vegetable fats and oils and their cleavage products prepared edible fats; animal or vegetable waxes (HS code 15) - an increase of $19,161,832;

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $5,959,788;
  • Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - a decrease of $5,914,000;

Russia’s Imports from Tunisia
