Russia’s Trade with Honduras

In the 1st quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Honduras was $6,886,968, down 37.65% ($4,158,943) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 1st quarter of 2017 were $1,022,443, down 87.24% ($6,991,505) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Honduras in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $5,864,525, up 93.42% ($2,832,562) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade balance with Honduras went from a surplus of $4,981,985 in the 1st quarter of 2016, to a deficit of $4,842,082 in the 1st quarter of 2017.

Honduras was Russia’s 131st largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 120th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0054% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0114% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 1st quarter of 2017 over the 1st quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $6,641,596;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $1,159,368.

Russia’s Imports from Honduras

The major share of Russian imports from Honduras in the 1st quarter of 2017 (and in the 1st quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 94.90% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (92.21% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 2.72% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (3.01% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.24% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (3.87% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.11% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (0.91% in the 1st quarter of 2016).
